A very good game, the art is pretty good and the music as well. Though, looking at mobile experience, it does not work quite well, it's playable even so. In general, a great game, congrats on the work.
Fun idea for a game! I managed to make it to the end, but have a couple suggestions.
The character kept sliding when I let go of the button, which made some deaths feel cheap. There were also not many occasions where I even needed to go left so my strategy for most levels was to wait until I saw a clear path and just move right to the goal. A couple levels with more left/right movement would add a lot imo
(I just played 'Locked in Cursed Dungeon' and that's exactly the type of level I'm thinking would fit in here well. Thematically, what if you needed to collect the chickens eggs before you can leave the level?)
One more thing that I think could help the game is a tweak to the player movement. The bounce pads and run speed felt too quick and didn't let me feel like I had much control.
Overall though, I had a good time. Nice work on the game! If you continue working with this mechanic, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
First of all, thank you very much for playing my game. I released it very prematurely, even though I was aware of these problems. I sent it to some friends of mine and they also mentioned the movement issue. I also think I didn't program the jump properly. I'm going to watch more video tutorials on platform games. Your analysis was very complete and honest. I'm going to give it a few weeks to think about what I can create again. I still have to fix bugs related to collision shapes and viewports. I tried to open it on my cell phone and realized that I have something very promising. I feel bad for not programming well (I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and experience in software development). I feel like I ended up programming stupidly. I didn't even stop to do a GDD. I just wanted to make something well-rounded and put it out there for everyone to play. Thank you very much for playing and giving your opinion.
I mean, you already have at least two games uploaded so you're doing way better than most people! Game design is hard, there's a reason so few people finish them.
You shouldn't feel bad about anything with this game. It was the next step for your journey and it sounds like you already have ideas to make your next project better!
